HELPING PEOPLE THROUGHOUT THE WORLD TO MAKE
BETTER DECISIONS ABOUT THEIR FUTURE
GTI Specialist Publishers was established in 1988 in the UK by three
Reading University students who felt that there was a need for more careers
information to help graduates find work. GTI stands for Graduate to Industry
and the company strives to bridge the gap between graduates and industry by
producing high-quality, innovative products to help students and graduates
make informed decisions about their future.
GTI products
GTI products are organised into four major brands: doctorjob, TARGET ASIA,
firstJobAsia and
postgradasia.
In Malaysia, the doctorjob brand meets the immediate needs of students
through the coursesNOW! publications (published in six sectors –
Art, design & mass comm, Business, Engineering, Health
& sciences, Hospitality & tourism and IT), RECESS!
and the popular www.doctorjob.com.my website. These products are
targeted at secondary school and college students to help them decide on a
course of study and an institution of higher learning. These publications
are made available at all secondary school libraries and counselling and
career guidance units. RECESS! is distributed for free to all
students.
The TARGET ASIA publications are targeted at penultimate, final year
undergraduates and working adults who are serious about their work and study
options. These publications aim to attract graduates into specific sectors.
Titles in this series include Banking & Financial Services and
Shared Services & Outsourcing (SSO) and Engineering.
firstJobAsia.com
is the web extension for the TARGET ASIA magazines and promotes graduate
recruitment and internships. It aims to bridge the gap between graduating
students looking for their first job (or internship position) and graduate
recruiters.
postgradasia
features a publication, fair and website developed for ambitious working
adults who are keen to explore the possibility of enhancing their skills and
knowledge through short courses or formal postgraduate study, and graduates
who want to gain postgraduate qualifications immediately after their
undergraduate studies.
