  Rules and regulations
 
1. Copyrights and plagiarism
1.1 Participants found to have committed copyright infringements in their work will be disqualified.
1.2 Participants found to commit acts of plagiarism in their work will be disqualified.
1.3 Direct assistance by teachers, parents or other people are not allowed.
 
2. Use of information
2.1 The Organiser will use all information including personal data of the participants strictly for purposes relating to the Awards, including the disclosure and transfer thereof to the judges and the media where necessary.
2.2 The information may also be used for publicising the event.
2.3 The Organiser shall own the copyrights to all works submitted for the Awards. All works submitted will not be returned to participants.
2.4 All participants whose entry forms have been duly completed and submitted may have their names published on the official web site and/or official publication.
2.5 Participants may be required to attend some publicity campaigns e.g. promotion activities and media interview, etc.
 
3. Computer-related issues
3.1 Participants must use the software version stated by the Organiser. Entries that are not submitted in the stipulated version will be disqualified.
3.2 The Organiser will not be responsible for computer failures due to computer virus transmitted via e-mail correspondence or other means.
3.3 The Organiser will not be responsible for any data lost due to computer failure. The Organiser reserves the right to postpone the competition if the problem proves to be serious.
 
4. Adherence to the rules and regulations
4.1 Participants must adhere to the rules and regulations set out for this competition. Participants failing to abide by the rules and regulations will be subject to disqualification, downgrading or other penalties that shall be determined at the Organiser's sole discretion.
4.2 Any participants who causes undue disturbance in a competition venue, and ignores a warning from the judges or staff may be disqualified and/or expelled from the venue.
4.3 The Organiser has the final rights in the interpretation and amendment of the rules and regulations.
4.4 Participants will be notified of major amendments to the rules and regulations if necessary.
 
5. General
5.1 The Organiser reserves the right to alter or modify the rules or schedule of the event if necessary or expedient. Participants will be notified accordingly.
5.2 Participants are required to bring along their IC cards and student ID cards for identification when attending training or presentation sessions.
5.3 It is strictly forbidden for any participants to reuse any work that he/she submitted to another competition. Violators will be disqualified.
5.4 The decision of the judging panels on all results shall be final and conclusive. Neither appeals nor communication on this will be entertained.
5.5 Any finalist teams failing to attend the final presentation on 17 May 2007 will be assumed to have given up their right to compete.
5.6 Participants in any part of this event are reminded to take care of their personal property. The Organiser will not be responsible for any loss incurred or damage suffered.

The Organiser will not be responsible for any accidents, injuries, damage or loss that might occur during participation in or attendance at this competition or any other related activities.
